Abstract:

The intention of the SensorSA training workshop was to teach the participants which SensorSA-compliant software components are available, and how to configure and deploy them.
Furthermore, the workshop demonstrated the way OGC Sensor Web Enablement services are used within SensorSA, and how to build a complete SensorSA-compliant Environmental Monitoring Network.

Notes:

Much of the training was hands-on, using the VirtualBox images with pre-installed SensorSA software. The presentations provided on this page were used just as introductions to each of the topics. Instructions on how to use varios SensorSA software packages will be included in "SANY Cookbook".

Sascha Schlobinsky was prevented from coming to the workshop in the last moment. Therefore, the "security" related program was reduced to an introduction given by Arnd Bonitz. The hands-on part of the security related program had to be replaced by two additional presentations by Désirée Hilbring (Re-use of SensorSA services outside SANY by Fraunhofer IITB) and Robert Barta (Formula 3 time series algebra).
