SANY SP7: community building and standardisation sub project

This sub project deals with all activities related to community building, training, dissemination and standardisation. It will provide bi-directional communication paths between SANY and the relevant user communities and standardisation organisations.

Results of work completed by SANY will be brought to OGC for consideration as industry standards and, through OGC’s longstanding Class A liaison with ISO TC 211, for standardisation at the International Level. In addition, an OGC workshop will be held in the second half of the project phase.

An overview of the SP7 work packages is given below:

WP7.0 Sub project management: This WP covers the technical management of the sub project and reporting.

WP7.1 SANY.net: This work package will disseminate SANY achievements and results via Internet to user communities and to establish a public online front desk available for wide participation,

WP7.2 Dissemination and Standardization: This work package will organise the consultations with users and other interested parties, coordinate the dissemination activities, increase awareness of the SANY project, and submit selected SANY results to the relevant standardisation bodies.

WP7.3 Training: This work package will assure that e-learning materials based on technical documentation delivered by SP2 and SP3 are written and published on the SANY web site.

WP7.4 Consolidation: This WP will manage the interaction between this SP and the other SPs, to ensure that the work done in SP7 is fully consistent with the overall goals of the SANY project, and the work done in other Subprojects.
